about me

Though my career started in the world of marketing in New York City, I eventually found myself at Columbia University pursuing a Master’s in Social Work.

I have worked in community-based mental health clinics, had my share of time in private practice, and was part of the founding team of a pioneering mental health startup, Real.

I approach my work through a trauma-informed lens. My post-graduate trainings & interests has span across depression & anxiety, body image concerns, and the maternal mental health journey. Most recently, I have focused my efforts on AASECT certification as a Certified Sex Therapist.

Therapy requires courage, a willingness to show up, & a curiosity about yourself. It’s an exploration to know & embrace all the parts that make you who you are.

MY PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH

As a sex therapist, I believe that sexuality, intimacy, & pleasure are fundamental aspects of our identity. They deserve to play a positive role in your life. And yet - sex is something we shy away from talking about - even in therapy. Many individuals and couples find themselves grappling with issues like shame, painful sex, sexual dysfunction, performance anxiety, diminished desire, communication issues, and relationship ruptures, such as infidelity. Together, we’ll explore all aspects of yourself as a sexual being, and embrace them as positive, supportive, and yes, enjoyable contributors to your life. And our work is not just about the bedroom - it extends to how you discover yourself, connect with the people in your life, and navigate the world around you.

I take a warm, collaborative, & non-judgmental approach in our work together. We can dig deeper, challenge certain narratives, & make changes to help you live in better alignment with yourself. I draw from several therapy modalities & theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy & Somatic Therapy
